  • Age Limit: While there is no strict age limit, most programs prefer candidates under the age of 30 in case of masters and 35 in case of PhD (Some government employees age for PhD scholarship can be relaxed up to 40 years by providing government job experience documents).   • Educational Background: Candidates should have a strong academic background relevant to their chosen field of study. Other requirements vary based on the scholarship category.

  • Recommendations: Letters of recommendation play a crucial role in evaluating the applicant’s academic and personal qualities. These letters should be written by professors, preferably by your supervisors who can attest to the candidate’s capabilities and potential for success. It is better if they have a very good research profile with at least 20 plus google scholar H-Index.
  • Study or research plan specific to your area or domain in which you are applying for the scholarship. You must try to write on recent hot topics only.

Scholarship Duration

  • -For a Master’s degree, the scholarship typically covers a period ranging from 1 to 3 years, first year in many universities can be just learning Chinese language. Though you don’t need to study courses in Chinese, as for international students the courses are offered in English Language. Some universities directly offer English language courses and then finally you do the thesis in English as well.
  • For doctoral degrees, candidates enjoy a more extensive support duration, spanning from 4 to 5 years.
  • First year in many universities can be just learning Chinese language. Though you don’t need to study courses in Chinese, as for international students the courses are offered in English Language.
