Campus France Scholarships 2025 for Indian Students
Campus France scholarships are the prestigious scholarships that are offered to the Indian students. The scholarships are called as France Excellence Charpak scholarships in India. They are funded majorly by Embassy of France in India. The scholarships are fully or partial funded that can cover the living allowance and medical insurance.
The students can get many scholarships opportunities that range from bachelors, masters to post graduate degrees. Four types of scholarships are awarded under this:
The aim of the scholarship is to support and encourage Indian students to study in France to get more international exposure.
Benefits of the campus France Masters scholarships:
- Monthly allowance: The scholarship offers monthly living allowance of 860 euros.
- Exemption of visa: if the candidate is applying from India, visa is exempted. Campus France procedure fees is also exempted.
- Student social security and additional health insurance (mutuelle) is included in the core benefits of the scholarship.
- Assistance in finding affordable student accommodation through Campus France in France (priority access to CROUS residencies, subject to availability)
- Meal discount: The applicants will be provided with meal discounts at university restaurants with meals at €1
- Social activities: The awardee will get an access to social and cultural activities organized by Campus France
The campus France scholarship will not include the following expenses.
- Travel expenses from India to France or within France
- Any other expenses related to recipient’s stay in France

What is the eligibility criteria for the campus france master’s scholarship?
The candidates will fulfil the below eligibility requirements, they are eligible for the scholarship.
- Nationality: the applicant must be an Indian citizen or hold an OCI card.
- Age requirement: the applicant must be 30 years old or younger at the time of application.
Origin of Education: The applicant must be currently enrolled or have completed studies at an Indian institution of higher education. - Applicants with a degree from a foreign institution are eligible to some extent. But preference will be given to all those who have completed their education from an Indian institution.
- Study in france: The applicant must ensure that the course takes place in France. If part of the course (one semester or more) takes place in another country, the scholarship will not cover that period
- Language proficiency: The scholarship holder may ensure French language proficiency. But it is not a mandatory step for the scholarship.
- Degree: The scholarship is available for full-time master’s degree programs.
- 2nd years study: Students already pursuing a master’s in France can apply for funding for the second year
- Admission: The candidate must have applied for admission to a French institution prior to applying for the scholarship.

Who is not eligible for the scholarship program?
- Students participating in semester exchange programmes, internships or research projects are not eligible to app.
- Students who are enrolled in PhD program earlier but intends to complete the masters degee or any training.
- Students who already received Charpak Master scholarship.
How to apply for the campus France Charpak Master scholarship?
To apply for the scholarship, the scholarship applicants must have to follow the following steps.
- Ensue the eligibity criteria of the scholarship, whether you are eligible for the scholarship or not.
- Get a check on the deadline of the application submission.
- Gather all the documents required for the scholarship.
- Open the application portal at http://ifi.scholarship.ifindia.in/
- Create your account and log into it.
- Fill the application form of the scholarship.
- Upload all the documents in the application.
- Submit the application before the deadline.
Required documents for the scholarship:
- Passport size photograph: Make sure that the photograph is formal.
- Copy of the first page of your passport which has the photo and expiry date. In case you haven’t received your passport till the deadline, attach proof of your passport application.
- Curriculum Vitae (maximum 2 pages).
- Copy of your admission/acceptance letter from the French higher education institution. To get to know more about the acceptance letter, do give it a read.
- Copy of academic transcripts
- Copy of degree of Higher Secondary School (XII), Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees (including those of completed semesters of the ongoing degree)
- French language certificate, if any (DELF /DALF)
- Document of employment / internship record (if any)
- Letter of recommendation from the current Indian university/employer or the institution last attended.
- These should be submitted as scanned copies of the original typed and signed paper letters.They should preferably be with reference to the scholarship.They have to include the signature and the contact details of the referee
- They should be on headed paper of the institution and bear a stamp of the institution if possible.
Note: Submit all the documents in pdf or jpeg format. Any other format is not acceptable.
