Hungarian Government Scholarships, also known as Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarships, are one of the prestigious and well-known scholarships for international students. Benefits of the Hungarian Government Scholarship

Hungarian Government Scholarships are fully funded scholarships that offer a variety of privileges to the award-winning students.

  • Tuition fees: 100% of tuition fees are paid by the Hungarian Government Scholarships.
  • Monthly stipend: A scholarship amount of HUF 43,700 is given to the students. It covers the living expenses of the students
  • Monthly amount of HUF 140,000 (cca EUR 450) for the first phase of education (4 semesters) and HUF 180,000 (cca EUR 580) for the second phase (4 semesters) is given.
  • Accommodation facilities and funding: The scholarship will provide a free dormitory place to live. It also provide the contributing amount of HUF 40,000 per month.
  • If the dormitory place is spared, then the contribution amount will be given to cover the rental cost in some case.
  • Medical insurance: Health care and medical insurance od provided per year in the form of HUF 65,000.

What are The Eligibility Criteria Of The Scholarship

To become eligible for the scholarship, it is mandatory to fulfil the following requirements:

How To Apply For The Hungarian Government Scholarships

The applications for the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarships are open. Follow the steps and apply for the program.

  • Choose your program for the scholarship.
  • Start applying for the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarships via the Dreamapply system or application portal.
  • Contact the Hungarian partner/ sending partner and ensure the application procedure and deadline.
  • Create your account and register for it.
  • Browse the list of universities and programs and select yours.
  • Fill out the application form and upload relevant documents.
  • If you are up for the PhD program, search for the potential supervisor.
  • Submit this application before the deadline to the sender’s partner
  • The sending partner will nominate the top candidates to forward name to Hungarian higher institutions.
  • Submit the supervisor approval statements by 15th March
  • Submit the medical certificate by 15 April
  • The university will call the shortlisted candidates for the entrance exams between middle of March to May. The exam score must be 56/100 to be successful.
