Benefits of SINGA Scholarships 2025

All these universities are providing PhD EXCEPT SIT. However, SMU, SUTD and SIT offer EngD.
Required Documents
Applicants must prepare the following documents:
- Application form with all the details
- Passport (usually the image of the first page of the passport)
- Academic university transcript
- Diploma/ degree for the high school education
- Curriculum vitae CV/ resume
- Motivation letter (it must be 1 to 3 pages; get the tips and tricks for writing a motivation letter
- Recommendation letter (almost 2 to 4 recommendation letters are required)
- GRE score if you want to study under NUS supervisors. Some other universities also need this at the time of admission.
- IELTS, TOEFL, SAT I & II, and GATE results are also needed in some universities. But mostly they are considered optional.
- Statement of Purpose (SOP)
- Research project summary. (it must be of 3 pages maximum; don’t exceed 1000 characters including spaces)

Note: there is no need for any English proficiency test like IELTS, TOEFL etc. you will be awarded the SINGA scholarship if you have good English communication skills during the interview.

How to apply for Singapore government scholarships?
To apply for SINGA scholarships, one need to follow the steps.
- Open the application portal page from the official website.
- Login in the portal and make an account.
- Fill all the inquired details accurately to set the account.
Note: make sure all the details are accurately filled without any mistake. These details will be rechecked for your verification process. So be careful.
- Complete the two-step verification process and the click on apply on scholarships.
- Choose SINGA scholarships from the choices and start the application.
- Fill all the information such as personal information, contact,passport and address.
- In the same way, fill the sections like education details, career, plans, research and referees.
- After completing all the details, submit the application.
- They will contact your referees for the recommendation letter which must be submitted within 7 days via direct email.
- Your application will be submitted to its full after the 2 recommendation letters.
Important points to consider while applying:
- Don’t mail the documents in the hard form in their office. They must be submitted online.
- The recommendation letters must be submitted directly to the SINGA portal.
- Apply at least 2 weeks before the deadline to finish the application process on time. Be as early as possible.
