Eligibility Criteria of the UBC Scholarship

To be considered for the UBS scholarship, fulfil the requirements of the application:

  • Previous studies: the qualifications must align with the appropriate entry requirement for the chosen program.

§  For IMESL the candidate must be new to UBC, entering directly from secondary school.

§  For OIS Awards, the candidate must be new to UBC, entering directly from secondary school or post-secondary (university or college).

  • Nationality: the applicants must be international student who will be studying at UBC on a Canadian study permit (student visa).
  • The candidate must demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and intellectual promise, as well as impressive extracurricular and community involvement.
  • Award nomination: He must not be nominated for a need-and-merit-based International Scholars award.
