Yes, they can also get the DAAD Scholarship but their stay should not have exceeded more than 15 months. This means that their arrival in Germany should be less than 15 months. Then they can apply for this scholarship.

No, your application isn’t finished just by sending it through the DAAD portal. It’s only complete when we have both your online application and your reference sent by mail (the postmark date counts). If it’s incomplete or late, we won’t consider it.

19. Do I have to apply in the German Language?

Unless the scholarship application says otherwise, you can apply in either German or English. But if your documents aren’t in one of these languages, you need to translate them into German or English. You can do the translations yourself, and they don’t need to be officially certified for the application. However, if you get the scholarship, you might need to provide certified translations later on for most programs.

20. What is the age limit for this fully funded scholarship?

Usually, there is no set age limit for scholarships. However, some programs might have exceptions if an international partner specifically asks for it. Also, some scholarships might require that you haven’t finished your last degree too long ago.

24. If I have already a scholarship, can I still get this scholarship?

If you’re already getting funding from DAAD, another German funding organization, or a state agency in Germany, you can’t get a scholarship from DAAD. Also, if you have a full DAAD scholarship, you can’t get an Erasmus scholarship at the same time. But if you’re in programs like “University Summer Courses in Germany” or “University Winter Courses in Germany,” or if you’re getting a partial scholarship from DAAD, you can still apply for Erasmus funding.
