NL Scholarships for international students:

NL Scholarship are formerly known as Holland Scholarship. These prestigious scholarships are available for international students outside EU. Students who want to pursue their bachelor’s or master’s in the Netherland. This scholarship is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science as well as several Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences.

The main aim of the scholarship is to promote academic and research excellence in the field. It also attracts international students to study in Holland or Netherlands.

Eligibility Criteria  for NL scholarship:

There are no strict eligibility criteria for the scholarship. You just have to fulfil the basic requirements for the scholarships.

  • Nationality: Your nationality must be non-EEA. European students can not apply for the scholarship.
  • Degree to apply: You must be applying for a full-time bachelor’s or master’s program at one of the participating Dutch higher education institutions.
  • Entry requirement: You must meet the specific requirements of the institution of your interest and choice. You can find the information on the institution’s website.
  • Previous degree: You must not have any degree from any educational institution in the Netherlands.

  • Choose a university where you want to conduct the studies.
  • Take admission in your chosen university in the your chosen academic program.
  • Now, read the instructions of the scholarship as per your institution.
  • Follow the instructions and apply for the scholarships as per requirement.
  • Submit the application before the deadline.

The applications for the NL scholarships for international students for the year of 2025-26 are open. However, the date is different in each university. So you have to consult the university for more details.
