What is the language of the study?

  • Bachelors and master’s degree students are allowed to study programs in Romanian language.
  • PhD students can study both in English and Romanian language program. The foreign language is also set by the doctoral institute.
  • Preparatory year: for the bachelors and Master’s students who never spoke Romanian are granted with a preparatory year. In this year, the students are taught Romanian language to make them ready for the university education.

However, some students are exempted for the entry in Romanian language course.

  • Students with a Romanian study documents.
  • Students with four consecutive years of study at Romanian educational institute.
  • Students who pass the Romanian language test to get enrolled in university.
  • Students who present a linguistic competence certificate in Romanian. ( B1 level minimum).

Who is eligible for the scholarship?

The scholarships are awarded to the students as per the competition of the application files received to the ministry of foreign affairs Romania. The candidates are eligible for the scholarships if they:

  • Are the citizen of any non-EU/EEA county around the globe.
  • Carry a great academic record in the previous studies. The academic grades must comply with Romanian scoring system or Good score.
  • Possess study documents that are verified and recognized from their educational institutes.

Who are NOT eligible for the scholarship?

  • Citizens of Romanian origin or part of the Romanian historical communities in the proximity of Romania
  • Citizens requesting or acquiring a form of protection in Romania;
  • Stateless persons whose stay on the territory of Romania
  • Members or family members of the diplomatic and consular corps accredited to Romania;
  • Members of the administrative and technical staff of diplomatic missions and consular offices;
  • Staff members and the family members of international organizations based in Romania
  • Beneficiaries of a scholarship from the Romanian state for the same cycle of study.
